This project was located in Cole Valley San Francisco on a relatively flat city lot. The project required a brand new two car garage in place of an existing Porte Cochere, a brand new foundation under neath the four story home and several retaining walls on the property line. The existing house required cribbing while the existing brick foundation was removed.
The existing home required temporay shear bracing as well as temporary shear walls while the new foundation was being installed. New structural steel and moment frames was installed per the engineers specifications. All existing utilities and sewer lines were upgraded or replaced. A new two car garage was framed and finished as well as a full seismic upgrade to the existing house per the engineers requirements.
